Read Them, Memorize Them, Follow ThemThat being said, we do have a few rules and guidelines that must be followed.
1 -- AbusePersonal attacks on any members will not be tolerated. You're smart enough to know how to post on an internet message board, then you're smart enough to know when you're needlessly being an ass. Regardless of how established you are on the Board or in the community, whether you're a new member or a member from 4 years ago, posting a personal attack will get you a warning or personal message with a reminder of the rules. If it happens again, you'll be banned from the Board plain & Simple. There are no three strikes and your out its one strike and your out.
2 -- Character LevelEach character starts at level one and the the more often you post in an RP the better your character does, the more points you earn, & the faster you can get the big toys like a dragon to ride into battle.
3 --StaffYou’ll see at the bottom of the index page the list of Administrators, Moderators, Jr. Moderators. The three listed are
the staff here. They are who’s in charge, who will approve you, who will dish out warnings if needed, etc. Moderators are supposed to keep people in line, not be nasty. They're polite and point people in the right direction, give advice, and so on.
4 -- Picture Rules and SignaturesNothing Gigantically HUGE. People don't want to keep scrolling over nine thousand HUGE pictures of anything. It's annoying. Now, the signature is something that appears at the bottom of every post you make. Most people put their statures, and other important titles, while others put pictures and icons. NO OBSCENE PICTURES!!!! If ANY of us even have a whiff of dirty pictures, I will ban you.... SERIOUSLY! I don't think many get the jist that something like that could lead the whole site itself getting shut down permanently.
These are very simple rules and guidelines and you'll find that with every post you'll become part of a pretty cool web community. Try not to be discouraged if your first few posts don't receive a lot of feedback. And remember, when someone gets good, constructive criticism, everyone can use that knowledge whether it's about your work or not
5 -- AdvertisingIf you have a site you would like to promote, one good tactic is to post the link in your "Websites" area of the profile. You can also put Facebook, IMVU, Gaia, and MySpace links on there as well. ((DO try and check the link before you post it though, or else it could lead the person viewing it into some sort of "lost in the woods" sort of deal.)) . Post in the Advertisement Section for this. We do require that one returns the favor in the site they are promoting.
I WILL check the site you are advertising to see if this one has been placed in its Advertisement section as well. If this site has not been promoted in return there will be repercussions.
6 -- LIFEIf you have any problems IRL ((In Real Life)), don't get on here and make a scene and take it out on everybody else. It's fine if you're mad, but guess what? WE didn't do it. This site is NOT your personal punching bag. You will NOT take out your attitude against the members here just because mommy grounded you from your cell phone or iPod
Also, issues that happens on other sites has NO relevance here either. If you have a problem in another site, KEEP it there.
